D.C Lewis Shoes is based in Athens, Georgia, USA and is run by David Lewis.
His interest in shoes started when he was a teenager, volunteering to polish his father’s Cole Haan loafers (back when they made quality shoes). He was intrigued by the fact that you could make an old, worn-out pair of shoes come back to life again with a little wax and elbow-grease. Shorlty thereafter he began to fix and resell shoes on the internet. The style of D.C. Lewis is a mix between Italian and English design with influence from American vintage and Hungarian shoemaking tradition. The top priority of David is to select the best quality materials made to the highest standards while maintaining value for money. All of D.C. Lewis shoes feature Goodyear construction with full leather linings.
A large portion of their shoes are hand-crafted. With the exception of Horween, almost all of the brands leathers come from European tanneries, such as Ilcea. They also use American alligator sourced from Florida and Louisiana.
