Amrik Chaggar offers high quality standards of bespoke shoemaking and tailoring which continues a tradition spanning many generations of discerning British society. Each individual customer's requirement is also supported by after care if requested, ensuring complete satisfaction.
His education and training towards his objectives began from 1996 when he sought the tacit and practical knowledge held at two internationally renowned centres of excellence at London's Savile Row, specialist in the finest tailoring, and Jermyn Street, home to the finest shoemakers. These two unique streets house a labyrinth of craft workshops behind the smart façades of their showrooms and salons. It was in these workshops that, for over twelve years, Amrik honed his skills to perfection, assimilating knowledge and expertise from the finest British shoemakers and tailors. These experts continue the finest British traditions of bespoke shoe and suit making.
After twelve years of tailoring, the last five spent working as a professional shoe last maker, Amrik has now launched this new bespoke tailoring and shoemaking venture from his own traditionally equipped London workshop. He has already achieved great success, swiftly establishing an excellent client list which comprises some of the most discerning and established names worldwide. Amrik has been making shoes since 2002 and brings to handmade shoemaking the same attention to detail, quality, style and expertise in the selection of the finest materials, which won him the coveted award for ‘Young Tailor of the Year’ in 2000. His premier personal service presents in its maintenance package, a top quality handmade item which is consequently also a long lasting investment.
