It all begain with the first atelier opened by Enrico Rivolta in 1883 in Via del Gesu Milan.
During the fervid years of the postwar reconstruction and the economic boom of the ‘60s, Rivolta’s made-to-measure shoes became the ultimate in masculine elegance. In addition to many of the leading Milanese aristocratic and bourgeois families and cultural figures, clients came from all over Italy, and many aficionados from overseas followed suit as well, especially from the UK.
Today Fabrizio Rivolta, a direct descendant of Enrico and Franco, continues the family tradition in the heart of Milan at Via della Spiga 17.
Calzoleria Rivolta is characterised by the construction and aesthetical values of the tradition combined with the innovation through next generation technology to enhance the uniqueness of the final product.
A challenge that has been met by combining the style of the Milanese shoemaking school – elegantly rigorous and simple in shape – with technical expertise, a marked artisanal propensity and great workmanship – Goodyear, Blake, Norvegese – and advanced digital processing. At the store, in fact, you can try the digital scanner that detects the coordinates of thousands of points on the foot and creates a 3D model, to enable selection of the materials, the sole and the hue according to your personal taste.
The product range, rigorously Made in Italy, is divided among various sectors: bespoke, personalized or made to order and the 1883 Heritage ready to wear. In addition Rivolta makes leather accessories, a range of shoe care products, shoe care cases of various sizes in mahogany and shoehorns in precious materials.
