Yanko is a brand of shoes produced on the island of Mallorca, where it was founded in 1961 by master artisans specialising in the manufacture of high quality footwear. From its humble beginnings it soon developed into one of the most important and prestigious footwear companies in Europe during the 80s. So much that in its heyday, Yanko was manufacturing more than a million pairs of shoes a year.
The quality and craftsmanship of Yanko reflects years of experience that has been passed down through generations and is currently being reinforced by the high level of experience and know-how of the Llobera family. They are widely known as a strong force in the leather manufacturing business, always in search of perfection and good taste.
This extensive knowledge, acquired through years of experience has led the firm to become a renowned international brand, able to satisfy our most selective and demanding consumers.
The roots of the Mallorcan shoe industry date back to 1890, when in the small town of Inca, craftsmen skilled in tanning leather began to apply their knowledge to the manufacture of men's British style shoes.
In this new era, Yanko continues to promote "Made in Spain". Their shoes are still exclusively hand made on the island of Mallorca. More specifically in the town of Inca, a town that still conserves the valuable knowledge of excellent master leather craftsmen, who love their work and have achieved the highest level of excellence.
