Noriyuku Misawa started learning shoe making at a Shoemakers' school in Tokyo in 2002. He worked as a teacher at a shoe making school after he finished the school.

In 2009, he moved to Vienna, Austria and gained experiences as shoe maker at different workshops and shoe companies in Vienna. In 2010 he was awarded gold medal at International Efficiency contest of Shoemakers in Germany, He launched Misawa & workshop when he returned to Japan in 2011. In 2015, he got Ministry of Education prize at 33rd Japan leather craft contest.
