In 1877, Mestre Antoni Fluxá founded his first shoemaking workshop on the island of Majorca. His intention: to create the Europe's best footwear. Success followed and his workshop grew expanding into a school of artisans. By 1891, the company had turned into an industry with eleven large workshops and five leather factories in Inca. To this day, the fourth generation Fluxá continues leading Lottusse.
Lottusse's objectives continue improving and perfecting the product. Searching for technical innovation and modernity in the design, but starting from an historical legacy. The Goodyear welting process has been perfected throughout the years and takes around four days to complete, and it provides isolation of heat and humidity, comfort, and resistance. Only one in every hundred shoes which are produced in the world are done this way.
But at Lottusse we are not satisfied. For that reason we also manufacture with a different tecnhique called Goodblake: a mixed exterior stitch, with a Blake machine back stitch, adding to it the anti-humidity treatment for the sole. A comfortable shoe, with a flexible sole which can be worn on a rainy day.
