Klemann is run by family. The owner Benjamin Klemann is one of the most well known shoemaker in Germany. His workshop is in a nineteenth century townhouse in the centre of Hamburg. This is a place where real handcraft for feet is performed according to Klemann.
He uses only selected high-quality materials which are box calf and aniline calf leather from Germany, England, France and Italy. Moreover Klemann collects exotic leather such as crocodile and ostrich leather, and even salmon, eel, carp leather have been used.
