In 1921, Kielman received an order from Charles De Gaulle to make a pair of officer's boots for him. After that bootmaking became part of the business as well. Two big wars were made difficult for the store but Jan II in the end became a successor and passed on to his son Maciej . It led the company to expand into new areas of activity by joining of Maciek.
