Heinrich Dinkelacker

Heinrich Dinkelacker has been making exclusive men’s shoes using the Goodyear welting production method since 1879, relying upon painstaking manual craftsmanship undertaken in one of Europe’s oldest factories.

The knowledge of this centuries-old traditional shoe manufacturing method has been passed down from generation to generation, and is still used to ensure the one-of-a-kind quality of these luxurious masterpieces today. Based in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, the company has been meticulous handcrafting footwear in the world capital of cobbler expertise — Budapest, Hungary — since the 1960s.

Classic Budapesters with braided welts, elegant business models, graceful loafers, modern leisure shoes and stable winter boots with a lugged rubber sole: the Goodyear-welted shoe collection continues to impress to this day with traditional craftsmanship, premium materials and lovingly detailed designs. Skilled cobblers take around 300 work steps to make a single pair of shoes. Each pair takes over 15 days to make, 10 hours of which consist of pure manual labour. Last forms perfected over decades and a comprehensive repertory of extra-wide models leave nothing to be desired.
