Hans-Joachim Vauk makes bespoke shoes from his little workshop in Schleswig-Holstein Neumünster.
A custom wooden last is created for each customer, based on their unique measurements. The next step is the creating of a disposable trial shoe to make sure that the fit is correct. After the fitting session, the creating of the final shoe can begin. The complete process should be expected to take three to four months for the first pair of shoes, and six to seven weeks for the second pair.
