Created by Gianni Mostile in 1963. In 2001 The Prada Group bought the company with the intention of preserving and reviving one of the most emblematic Italian brands. With this spirit, the 1963 logo is reintroduced and, during the years, image, style and the original quality of the driving shoe patented by its founder in the 1960s are restored.
The first Car Shoe store, designed by Roberto Baciocchi, opened in Via Della Spiga, 50 in Milan on March 5, 2001. This shop then relocated to number 1 in November 2006, re-opening with a new architectural guise reflecting the brand's heritage and the iconic driving shoe.
