At his workshop in Corso Cavour, in the centre of Novara, Adriano Stefanelli has been making entirely handmade shoes destined for the most important men in the world since 1954. Among his customers are Silvio Berlusconi and the Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Walesa. He has also made red shoes for Pope Benedict XVI which earned him the title of "best dressed man" in the American magazine Esquire.
