Joseph Cheaney & Sons, one of English shoemaking's heritage brands founded in 1886, have opened their latest store on Henrietta Street - their fifth in London - with a concept that celebrates the art and craftsmanship of shoemaking.
The new 50 square metre store provides a clean and contemporary space for Joseph Cheaney & Sons, focusing on showcasing the maker’s collections, heritage and the craft – using depictions of shoemaking tools, examples of decorative broguing and gimping as well as sole and heel patterns.
Passers-by and store visitors can watch shoes getting polished at a ’polishing station’ sitting in the window bay, promoting both the importance of shoe care and the complimentary service offered by the store. At the cash desk, customers can buy shoe care accessories and learn about Cheaney’s refurbishment service.
The store sells both men’s and ladies footwear. It offers a wide selection of shoes and boots, both casual and business footwear collections, all selected to play to the spirit of Henrietta Street and its customers.
The new store is located at 26 Henrietta Street, Covent Garden, London WC2E 8NA. Opening times: Monday to Saturday 10am – 7pm, Sunday 11am – 5pm. Tel 0207 240 7030, email: firstname.lastname@example.org
'The store is a contemporary interpretation of our craftsmanship and heritage, championing our skills and values through innovative displays and beautiful detailing.
