Ermenegildo Zegna has recently opened up a flagship Global Store on New Bond Street, and to celebrate it, the company's Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori has teamed up with acclaimed maker Gaziano & Girling to create a special shoe collection of nine models that will be available at the Zegna's new London location exclusively.
The nine designs are the brainchild of Zegna‘s Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori, who was inspired by nine special friends of his: a dancer, a biker, a guitarist, a chef, an editor, a bartender, an art dealer, an illusionist and a sommelier.

The shoes are meticulously crafted by Gaziano & Girling, who also have a shop of their own on famed tailoring bastion Savile Row. They are made in Gaziano & Girling’s Kettering, Northamptonshire workshop to a very high standard. While the nine finished designs of the beautiful new range are made-to-order on ready-to-wear lasts, Zegna also offers a full bespoke service at the new Global Store where a custom last is created for each customer to ensure a perfect fit.
A fully customised design is if course possible should one go down the bespoke route. Clients can get measured at the New Bond Street shop, and the final bespoke pair is created only after completing at least two fitting sessions. The uppers are cut and lasted by hand and the soles are welted and stitched by hand using hand-waxed linen thread.
